Abstract

Background: Understanding  expectations and views on dental practice and dental professionals is an important aspect of improving patient care.


Objective: To evaluate the expectation of participating individuals towards dental practice and dental professionals


Materials and methods: This study was conducted among the general public. Data collection was done with a closed-ended, self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire contains twenty-three questions regarding demographics, expectations towards treatment, the dentist behavior, the dental staff attitude, clinic facilities.


Results: Data collected from 462 individuals who participated in this study  was extensively evaluated. It shows that a complex and essential component of contemporary healthcare is the patient's expectations within the framework of dental practices and dental professionals.


Conclusion: Exceeding expectations is a way to promote patient loyalty and practice growth in a time when word-of-mouth referrals and patient reviews have a big impact. Dental practitioners can make a lasting good impression on their patients by continuously going above and beyond. These patients will then be more likely to tell others about their great experiences.
