A Study of Skin Tags and Acanthosis Nigricans in the Visitors of a Tertiary Care Hospital

Abstract

Background:

This study was conducted to observe patients presenting to DVL OPD with skin tags and acanthosis nigricans and their association with Body Mass Index (BMI) and diabetes mellitus.

Aim and Objectives:

To study skin tags and acanthosis nigricans patients attending Dermatology OPD of a tertiary care hospital and to observe the relation of skin tags & acanthosis nigricans with BMI and diabetes mellitus

Material and Methods:

A cross sectional & observational study was conducted in the DVL OPD of a tertiary care center and the patients fulfilling the inclusion criteria were thoroughly examined and photographic records were maintained.
