Abstract

Introduction: Cervical radiculopathy (CR), a condition of the cervical nerve root (CNR), is most frequently brought on by a herniated cervical disc and spondyloarthritis. If a nerve root is inflamed, impinged, or both as a result of a spur, cervical osteophyte, or other space-occupying lesion, this could cause chronic pain and incapacity. Cervical radiculopathy primarily presents with sensory symptoms into the upper limb such as pain, numbness, tingling sensation; motor symptoms like muscle weakness; and reflex hypo activity which often result in significant functional limitations and disability..
Objectives: To find the effect of neural mobilisation along with skin stretch stimuli, cervical stabilisation exercise in reducing pain and to improve function in patients with cervical radiculopathy.
Methods: 30 subjects with unilateral cervical radiculopathy were selected based on selection criteria. Subjects were divided into 2 groups. Group A received neural mobilisation along with kinesiotaping and cervical stabilisation exercise. Group B received kinesiotaping with cervical stabilisation exercise. Pre-test was done using cortisol for pain and Quick DASH score for Upper limb function. Post-test was done using the same outcome after the cessassation of the intervention. Data collected was used for statistics..
Results: The statistical analysis shows, on comparing both group A and Group B using cortisol for pain the mean value is 21.1533 and 22.9867 respectively. Where the t value is 3.277 and p value is 0.003.On comparing both group A and Group B using QUICKDASH questionnaire for functional activity the mean value is 23.9333 and 28.5333 respectively. Where the t value is 2.689 and p value is 0.012. Hence the study reveals group A which was intervened by neural mobilisation along with kinesiotaping shows highly significant than group B, therefore null hypothesis is rejected
Conclusions: The study concluded that subject treated with neural mobilization along with kinesio taping is recommended in the treatment of Unilateral Cervical Radiculopathy which showed high significant in recovery.
