Systematic Review of Laser Applications in Operative Dentistry: Advances and Clinical Implications
Main Article Content
Abstract
The use of dental lasers in restorative dentistry offers numerous benefits for both practitioners and patients. High-power lasers are effective for removing carious enamel and dentine, treating non-cariogenic lesions, preventing caries, performing endodontic procedures, and carrying out prosthetic procedures such as crown lengthening and sulcus uncovering. Low-power lasers, on the other hand, are utilized for reducing post-operative sensitivity, maintaining periodontal health, non-surgical periodontal treatments, photodynamic therapy, and microbial decontamination in endodontic and periodontal applications.
