Abstract

This study focuses on the environmental impact of water pollution in the Gulf of Najaf on plants. Water is a fundamental natural resource, and its quality is essential for the well-being of ecosystems and human societies. Water pollution has become a significant concern, posing threats to both human health and the environment. In this context, the research explores the specific issue of how water pollution affects plant life in the Gulf of Najaf, an area of great economic and ecological importance. The study analyzes the characteristics of plants and assesses the extent of pollution's impact on them. It also investigates the spatial and temporal variations in water quality and their relationship with plant pollution. Field samples were collected during the summer and winter, and laboratory analysis was conducted. The results are compared with international and local standards to evaluate the environmental quality of the study area.
